As Ocean Month wraps up, don’t miss the special event at the Miami Beach Public Library on Tuesday June 25! Join Miami Beach resident and environmental advocate David Grieser and Dr. Allyson DeMerlis of The University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science, as they discuss a hidden gem in our community! The conversation is moderated by Ombretta Agro’ Andruff, ARTSail.
The evening will begin with a tour of the exhibition "Become Ocean," curated by Ombretta Agro’ Andruff and on display until August 31st. This will be followed by an insightful presentation in the Auditorium, highlighting the importance of coral reefs, particularly the resilience of urban corals. The presentation will also introduce the Miami Beach Near Shore Reef, a hidden gem in our watery backyard that many residents and visitors are unaware of.
This free event is open to everyone, so come and join us! Our local reef is depending on us!
