4 World Ocean Celebrations organized with Blue Scholars Initiative with an estimated overall attendance of 2500 attendees, 300 students engaged in workshops, coordinated 500+ volunteers, collected and disposed 1,838 pounds of trash, removed 20+ cubic yards of invasive Scaevola taccada, and planted 200+ sea oats (Uniola paniculata) and 50 other natives.
Sheroes of the Ocean: 23 amazing women from Japan to Estonia, Mexico, Russia, Brazil and the US, includes artists, cultural producers, marine biologists, environmentalists, oceanographers, and activists who have devoted their lives to comprehending, safeguarding, and preserving our oceans.
